Ariana Andrews is the New Zealand Representative for Rotaract Oceania and a member of
Rotaract Club of Auckland City and Newmarket Rotary Club. She was introduced to Rotary in
2011 when she was awarded a scholarship from Newmarket Rotary Club.

Ariana has supported the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) and the Rotary Youth
Programme of Enrichment (RYPEN) over the past two years as a team leader. She has also
been involved as a secondary school liaison for District 9920, where she worked to increase
Māori and Pasifika representation in Rotary youth programmes. She’s been involved in
committees at club, district and zone levels to support equity and leadership development
within Rotary and Rotaract.

Ariana completed medical school at the University of Auckland and volunteered with the
Peace Corps in Vanuatu. She is currently studying public health, focusing on Māori health.
She is passionate about working towards the elimination of health inequities for Māori and
other Indigenous peoples.
